The Edinburgh International Book Festival

Following last year's contract providing technical and duty management for the Spiegeltent venue within the Edinburgh International Book Festival, PROScenia are thrilled to have been given the contract to provide technical management for the whole festival this year. The Festival runs from the 16th to the 28th of August, in Edinburgh's Charlotte Square Gardens. With some 600+ events spread across a tented village comprising some 9 event venues, bookshops, cafes, box office and site facilities, this is undoubtedly a large project for us. Last year over 220,000 people visited the Book Festival, which has steadily grown in size and status every year since its beginning in 1983.

PROScenia will be responsible for the Technical Management of the festival, planning, specifying and managing the provision of lighting, sound and AV equipment across the site, and working with the Site Management team to ensure that power and other site services are in place and that everything in this high-adrenaline, high-profile project runs smoothly.
