Keeping Fictions Visible Posted 03/12/2006 by Andrew Coulton

Visible Fictions' 2003 show "Monster" - lit by Paul Ancell with tour relights by PROScenia
PROScenia have been contracted to work with Glasgow based young people's theatre company Visible Fictions. As part of continuing expansion and development, the company has a busy and challenging season ahead and approached PROScenia for Production Management services to bring the projects together.
The season kicks off with a number of projects, the highlight being a tour of Jim Cartwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Complete with a house fire and a cherry picker, the script poses a number of thorny problems in bringing it to life for the touring stage. Andrew is really looking forward to working with director Dougie Irvine, designer Becky Minto and lighting designer Paul Ancell to resolve the issues.
In addition to project-based Production Management to some 10 projects over the 7 month initial contract term, PROScenia will provide longer-term consultancy and development to Visible Fictions, whose outstanding reputation is fuelling a period of ongoing growth on the domestic and international stage. PROScenia manager Andrew Coulton said "We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Visible Fictions again especially at such an exciiting time for the company. We had a great time relighting the tour of Monster in 2003 and it will be great fun to be working with Dougie and the team again."
